How to Measure Yourself for the Perfect Flared Pants Fit?
Finding flared pants that fit well starts with knowing the right measurements. When you measure yourself correctly, you save time, avoid returns, and get pants that feel good all day. Here’s an easy guide anyone can follow, whether you’re shopping for yourself or buying in bulk for customers.
1. Measure Your Waist
Stand up straight and wrap a soft measuring tape around the smallest part of your waist. This is usually just above your belly button. Keep the tape snug but not tight. Write down the number. This helps you choose the right rise and waistband fit.
2. Measure Your Hips
Place the tape around the fullest part of your hips and butt. Make sure it stays level all the way around. This number is important because flared pants need to fit smoothly at the top before they widen at the bottom.
3. Measure Your Inseam
Your inseam tells you how long the pants should be. Start at the inside top of your thigh and measure down to your ankle or where you want the hem to end. Flared pants look best when they almost touch the floor, so many people prefer a slightly longer inseam.
4. Measure Your Thigh
Some flared pants fit tight at the thigh before they start to open at the knee. Measure around the thickest part of your thigh so you choose a pair that doesn’t feel too tight in this area.
5. Check the Size Chart
Every brand is a little different. Compare your numbers to the brand’s size chart. For wholesalers, knowing these measurements helps you guide customers and stock the right size range.
6. Try a Silhouette Test
If possible, hold the pants up in front of you. The flare should begin around the knee, not too high. This helps create the classic long-leg shape.
When you measure yourself the right way, you get flared pants that fit comfortably, move well, and look great.
